The Obama campaign has posted two interactive tools on its website, the most recent with a banner headline proclaiming " The Romney Tax Hike."
It is an interactive map that claims to show where 158 million Americans "could" face a tax increase to pay for Republican proposals. The math is based on a think-tank report that Republicans reject and one Romney adviser called "a joke."

The other tool is an online calculator where there is a space to enter a salary level, filing status and dependents. The page instantly produces comparisons to projected tax savings under Obama policies, past savings in the past four years, and an estimated projection of a tax "increase" under what it says are Romney's proposals.
A disclaimer at the end admits the calculator "makes a number of simplifying assumptions."
